私が、子どもを好きになった、本当の理由

私は、子どもが大好きです。孫は、特に、かわいい。

医療関連の仕事で、ある大きな子ども病院を何回も訪問した。

その時、病室に書いてある、入院患者さんの名前が、

頻繁に、変わるのに気づいた。

その理由は、小児がんの闘病生活が、非常に短いと言う事です。

つまり、小児が癌（悪性新生物）におかされると、がん細胞の

増殖が、非常に早く、そのため、短期間になくなると言う事なのです。

その時は、それ程、気にしていなかったのですが、

自分が、子どもを持ち、その可愛い寝顔を見るたびに、

そこ光景が、思い出されるようになった。

子どもは、感性というか、本能というか、大人には、わからない、

判断基準で、大人を、みます。

子どもに好かれる、人に悪い人はいないと、言いますが、

それは、この事から来ていると、思っている。

私が、現在、恵まれない子どもの、募金活動に熱心になっているのは、

この経験から来たものだろうと思っている。

子どもは、何と言っても、未来をつくる大事な人材、

その将来の可能性を広げてやるのは、大人の役目です。

そう言う観点から、是非、恵まれない子どもを、助けてやって下さい。

小児癌で、志、なかばで、命を絶たれてしまった、幾多の子ども達の

ためにも、恵まれない子どもに、愛の手を差し伸べて下さい！
