私は、諏訪が、好きです。好きというよりも、気が合うという感じかな。

気（雰囲気・風土、オーラ）が合うのである。

今風に言えば、気のエネルギーを、私に当ててくれる雰囲気がある

とでも言うべきかもしれない。

私にとっては、聖地（アリゾナのセドナ）みたいな感じかな。

１：諏訪神社の始まりの巻『古事記』の国譲り神話
大国主神（オオクニヌシノオオカミ）の治める

葦原中国（あしはらのなかつくに)は、

高天原の天照大神に委ねられるはずだった。

しかし。大国主神の数多いる御子神の中で、唯一それに

逆らったものがいた。

これから私は、諏訪の地を一歩も出ません。

この葦原中国は、天つ神の御子に差し上げましょう」

こうして国譲りは完了し、建御名方神は諏訪の地に鎮まることとなる。

これが諏訪神社の始まりである。

遠い遠い神代のことです。諏訪湖の南にある諏訪大社の本宮に、

男神と女神の夫婦の神様が仲むつまじく暮らしていました。

神様のお名前は、男神が『たけみなかたのみこと（建御名方命）』、

女神は『やさかとめのみこと（八坂刀売命）』といいました。

そんなある日、「荒れるお天気を治めるため、

諏訪湖の北に、新しい宮を造りました。

八坂刀売命はその宮をお守りするように」と天の声がしました。

新しい宮は、『秋宮』といいました。天の声には逆らえません。

八坂刀売命は建御名方命との別れを惜しみながら、

秋宮に行くことになりました。

このとき八坂刀売命は、毎日お化粧に使っていた、本宮のそばに

湧き出す温泉を持っていくことにしました。一行は途中でひと休みし、

いざ出発の時、はずみで器に入れた温泉がこぼれてしまいました。

ちょうどそこは、諏訪の『こわた』という場所でした。

（現在、諏訪市の小和田にある温泉は、このときしみ込んだ

女神の温泉が湧き出したものだ、といわれています。)

今度は温泉がこぼれないように、綿で温泉の入った器をおおい、

秋宮に向かいました。ようやく秋宮に着き、器をおおっていた、

温泉で濡れた綿をかたわらに置いたところ、そこから温泉が

湧き出しました。綿にしみ込んだ温泉から湧き出した温泉と

いうことで、後世の人たちはこの温泉を、『綿の湯』と

呼ぶようになったということです。

一方、本宮に一人残された建御名方命は、

毎日がさみしくてたまりません。

本宮での仕事を早々に片づけると、三日に一度くらいの割合で、

秋宮にいる八坂刀売命に、舟で諏訪湖を渡って会いにいきました。

しかし、冬は厚い氷が張って舟が使えません。

しかたなく、遠回りになる湖岸を歩いて通っていました。

それはそれは寒い日が続いたある朝、諏訪湖には全面に氷が

張っていました。建御名方命はおそるおそる氷の上に乗ってみました。

けれど氷は厚く、びくともしません。そこで近道をしようと、

思い切って氷の上を歩き出しました。

建御名方命はようやく岸にたどり着き、ほっとして後ろを振り返った

、そのとき、バリバリバリッという、雷の様なものすごい音がしました。

建御名方命の歩いてきた湖の氷が、１m以上も盛り上がっていたのです。

それから、毎冬、氷点下の寒い日が続くと、

諏訪湖の氷が盛り上がる現象が見られました。

The ice on the lake where  ”Takeminakatanomikoto " was raised for more than 1 meter.
Then, every winter, a freezing cold day continues,

I saw the phenomenon that the ice of Lake Suwa was exciting.

人々はそれを、建御名方命が渡った道筋、『御神渡り』と名づけ、

八坂刀売命に会いにいった<恋の通い道>とうわさし合いました。

諏訪は、古くは、神話、民話が多く、また、中世には、中山道の道中で、

疲れを癒やす温泉として広く知られ、にぎわったようです。

山に囲まれた、諏訪湖は、温泉もあり、観光地等しても素晴らしい

ところです。　是非、訪れて、遠い過去、近い過去、現在、未来を、

思いをはせるのも一考かもね。
